The Promise of God
It happens. When you are stuck in the seen, focused on this world, looking at the happenings and going-ons of this very life here on earth, it happens. The flesh reigns, and death rules. It just happens. When your eyes are in the seen, death happens.
But, remember, there is a promise for life. There is a way out of this death all around. From the Giver of Life comes life to all who chose the promises of life. Do not forget, God promises life. There is no greater promise. His promise for life, not death, is intended for all people who believe.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned...” - John 3:16-18
And “…if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.” - Romans 8:10-11
It’s the promise of God. Life instead of death. Where the sin of this world promises death, God promises life.
“…Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the LORD your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days…” - Deuteronomy 30:19-20
He is your life! That is the promise of God. Life happens the moment you believe because it is Christ’s life in you.
