All You Know

When all you know is you are His. And that's all you know.

Because you see your need so loud and clear, and you see your struggle so big and defying. And all you know is you are His.

What a good place to be.

For your knowing turns to obedience. Every time. Knowing you are a child of His, and knowing you are loved by Him. It turns to obedience, every time. In the knowing, when all you know is you are His.

That’s how a soul is set free to obey.

A soul freely loved. A soul freely accepted and valued and treasured. A soul made worthy enough to be called God’s child, wholly and completely His! Is a soul set free to obey.

Always, always. Because after having seen God in all His majesty and strength, and knowing you are His, the only thing you can do is to follow the very One Who loves you.

It is the kind of obedience that carries no obligation. That holds no fear. That gives no weight or burden or sense of duty. But purely and wholly is an overflow of love. Purely.

Because He is yours. Yours to have and to know. Yours to follow and obey.

Your Provider. Your Defender. Your Shield and your Sword. Your Saviour. Yours.

And you are His. And that’s all you know.

What a good place to be.
