What If Instead

What if instead of “It’s what you deserve because of the choices you made”, we cry out, “These things are hard, but God will redeem what you lost, if you let Him. You can always move forward into Christ.”

What if instead of “You must, you should, you could”, we cry out, “It is finished. He has conquered. You can walk free!”

And what if instead of “If you do, if you act, if you say and you think right, then God will”, we cry out, “If you can’t, if you aren’t, if you don’t and you won’t get it right, then God will, because He can, and He does! For He is forever the Faithful One. You can be assured of Him.”

So that instead of “You’re doing it all wrong”, we can cry out, “God has done it all right! You can trust Him to finish in you what He has started.”

Because instead of “Beware and be afraid of the evil one”, we choose to cry out, “Behold and be in awe of the Risen One Who has conquered the grave! You can rest and have courage.”

And instead of keeping our focus right here on this life with all of its troubles and worries and lackings, we put our focus onto Christ and His life given.

Because that’s what grace does. It shows you Christ, and it gives you life, His life.

In your strength you will guide them
