To Be Free Indeed!
It’s not stating what’s wrong that brings freedom. It’s not proclaiming what’s off and incorrect and not right that makes a person able to walk free from what binds them. Not at all.
When a gentle reply quiets the angry temper, and a gracious remark stills the critical heart. When a kind word lifts a broken-down soul, and mercy given over and over humbles a proud spirit. You can see it, how freedom only comes through mercy and grace. Period.
Because stating and proclaiming the wrong only stirs up the wrong, where them emotions rooted in condemnation rise up, leading to shame, and the chains of slavery only tighten all the more.
But the hurting, those tired and weary with life, they are done with the chains. The lost and the wayward, those covered in guilt, they are done with all the shame. They are! What they need and really want is the Truth that sets free. Plain and simple.
Because it’s the Good News that breaks every chain. It’s the learning to walk with Jesus, the Truth, that sets a soul free. It is.
Where the lost want to be found, the wayward joyfully return, and the hurting and guilt-ridden feel safe to come and know freedom. All through mercy and grace. Only through Christ Jesus!
So instead of focusing on the problem. Instead of threatening with the danger and accusing with the guilt. Instead. Let’s proclaim Jesus! Let’s keep our eyes to Christ Jesus Who saves and protects and forgives. Who wants to walk with us and free us from the chains that bind, so we can be with Him all our days.
So we can be free indeed!
It’s what Love does, through mercy and grace! Jesus sets His children free, everyone who believes on Him to be saved is saved and called a child of God, AND is meant to be free. Amen and amen! Jesus tenderly calls each of us to His side, lovingly seeking us out, full of grace and mercy, every time!
For the the very love of Christ is access to the Greatest Treasure ever - Christ Himself! He is how to be free indeed!
