Just Grace at Work
It’s okay, it’s just grace at work.
That fear of letting go when everything says you need to take control. It’s just grace at work in you calling you to stop, as Jesus did, to let the Father take over because the battle belongs to the Him (Proverbs 21:31).
And the peace of God surrounds you.
That trial of holding your tongue when a child steps out in defiance. It’s just grace at work in you leading you to surrender your pride, as Jesus did, to allow the Spirit to work in their lives, because they are His, as you are His (1 John 3:2).
And the mercy of God pours out from you.
That past hurt that rises to the surface when triggered and won’t go away. It’s just grace at work in you reminding you to believe, as Jesus did, in the Truth that sets free (John 8:31-32), because God will work all things for good.
And the forgiveness of God is given through you.
That’s the power of grace at work in you! Calling you, leading you, reminding you that the way of grace is to stop, to surrender and to believe because God has won the battle for you and given you life. And His peace and mercy and forgiveness are seen and known in you. Amazing grace!
Yes! Amazing grace! Because when it comes down to it, it is nothing of you. Grace is in the uncertainty of denying lies and the uneasiness of refusing to correct your mistakes or fix their short-comings. Because grace is the certainty and ease of choosing God instead and allowing Him to bring righteousness to you and to them, in His timing. For it is His Truth at work in you, setting you free, directing you to humility, showing you Who God is, who you are, and who they are, all in His sight. All by grace.
Because grace is seeing the Truth, Christ Jesus Himself (John 14:6), and knowing the Truth, Eternal Life Himself (John 17:3).
Pure and simple, grace, the power for God’s people (Acts 4:33). Grace justifies (Romans 3:24) by faith alone (Romans 5:2) because when it’s just grace at work, grace saves every time (Ephesians 2:8-9)!

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth… For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” - John 1:14,16,17 ESV
