When You Can’t and You Don’t

When you can’t feel Him and you can’t believe He’s near. When you don’t see Him and you don’t think He’s real. And you doubt.

Hear Jesus cry over you, “I wish that even today you would find the way of peace” (Luke 19:42).

When you can’t follow Him and you can’t see His way. When you don’t obey Him and you don’t seek His face. And you drift.

Hear Jesus call out to you, “Come back to me, and I will heal your wayward heart” (Jeremiah 3:22).

Because when you doubt and you drift from the Source of life, and you become caught, trapped in the snares of death, and you do not know how you got there, you need to hear the Way. How He is fighting for you, not against you (Romans 8:31). How He has made a way out of death (1 Corinthians 15:55). How He is interceding for you (Romans 8:34). How the victory belongs to Him (Proverbs 21:31), that you need only to be still (Exodus 14:14) and wait on the LORD to renew your strength (Isaiah 40:31). You need to hear it. Christ Jesus is the Way. He loves you, cares for you, died for you, comes for you, provides for you, and protects you. Always.

Be still and receive Him. He is always with you.

He is the Way Who made the way for you to know Him, believe in Him, see Him, follow Him, obey Him and seek His face. Christ Jesus is your salvation (Psalm 118:14)!

And when you can’t be sure of the outcome and you can’t know the result. When you don’t know how and you don’t understand why. And you fear.

Hear Jesus reassure you, “Do not be anxious about anything, but…let your requests be made known to God. And [My] peace… will guard your heart and your mind” (Philippians 4:6,7).

He is the Way (John 14:6), the way of peace that shatters all doubt and fear so you will not drift.
